Census of 5 apr 1891 As ord,seaman on the crew of ship called Two Friends ,Moored at the Cherry Garden Pier Southwark .The Night of Census he was located in St Olaves Inf, with many other seamen ?



He was involved as a Seaman on the Ship Progress wrecked, The Shipwrecked Fishermen and Royal Mariners Benevolent Society , had payed to the surviving members of the crew
and the Widows paid out Nov 1894 the sum of £1.15 s the dat of the wreck is given as December but this is wrong

Census research shows His mother Sophia in 1891 living in 8 Cliff street st Peter Port wth Daniel Peter and his wife Elizabeth (Lizzie) Jane Mann who was born in Herm Island in 1871 and her other two children Alfred Thomas and Rachel Jane.
By 1901 they have moved to 27 Cornet St . about 200 yards away this is the street where most of the de Carteret family from sark live .
At this time he is with Alice and Abraham two of his children and has a servant Marie A Jonan a french servant
Alfred George born march 1894 in Hautville Road is missing
1911 Census gives just Daniel and Marie Ane as his Housekeeper , a small confusing point is when he filled in the
sections 6-9 says he was married for 22 years had three children two still living one has died
This would have been Alfred George born March 1894 Lizzie either left him after the birth and before census of 190
