Samuel Hitchcock put in prison by A.C. Renouf for being found laying helplessly drunk in the Pollet on Sunday morning.

John Churchill (b) 1813 living at 33 Cornet St & Samuel Hitchcock let out of prison by order of the Constable and on their promise of future good conduct.

THURSDAY 29TH JUNE 1882

Samuel Hitchcock put in prison by A.C. Lihou & Renouf for being found lying drunk & incapable on the Quay.

Matilda Richards & Mrs Maguire put in prison by the Special Constables Kaines & Machon for breaking open Annie Hitchcock’s box and stealing a quantity of wearing apparel, the box having been placed in Mr Jehan’s Shop situated in Cornet Street from whence they stole the said clothing.

William Maguire & Matilda Richards charged with breaking open Annie Hitchcock’s box and stealing there from a quantity of wearing apparel, the box having been left in Thomas Jehan’s Cornet Street suit making Shop from where they stole the clothing taking a portion on three different occasions. Sentenced to one month imprisonment at Hard Labour.
