Tipperary, Ireland - "Sacred to the memory of Hugh George de Carteret Ensign 39th Regiment, second son of the late Hugh de Carteret Esq. of the Island of Jersey, who died at Clonmel the 14th day of October 1852 aged 22 years and 2 months. Deeply and universally regretted by his family, friends and brother officers."
