From this point in time ,the blood line was female only till a change in name by Edward Charles Mallet aussumed the name of de Carteret , which did more than put a male back in the Seigneurie,it was to secure the Ancestral Home for generations yet unborn long may it continue .
Maybe at some time in the future a male de Carteret may marry a offspring of the Mallet de Carteret thereby reinstalling the bloodline
