Thomas De Carteret, seaman on board the Belweather, Mr W Pearce Master, was charged with having deserted his ship on the 3rd instant, the said vessel being then on eve of departure from the harbour of St Sampson’s for the port of London. He was sentenced to 15 days imprisonment.
