George was educated at Western College and by private tutor and obtained a B.A.in 1889 went on to Oxford University where he gained a M.A. 1892
He had been Ordained as a Deacon in Church of England in 1889, became Priest in 90 .curate of St Dunstans Canterbury 1889-94 Of Tulse Hill 94 - 96. Moving to Vicar of St Pauls Southwark 18997 to 1901then on to Christchurch East Greenwich 1901 through to 1913.George had been Acting Chaplin 4 class Ranking as Captain 13 Jan 1904 , Easter Command , Woolwich Companies Royal Army Medical Corps (vol) 23 July 1907 Chaplin to Royal Engineers (vol)

Moving to the West Indies as Assisstant Bishop in 1913 taking over as Bishop in 1916 remaing as such till 1930 when he was appointed Bishop of the Diocese of Liecester
which he was unable to take up due to illness he ended his days in a Nursing home in Canterbury dying there on the 3 January 1932
